SDMyers’ Reliability Account Manager Chip Angus to present at AISTech 2019
May 06, 2019 |
Chip Angus, SDMyers’ reliability account manager, will present at AISTech: The Iron & Steel Technology Conference and Exposition, in Pittsburgh, Penn., about the greatest risk to any form of steelmaking: an unreliable electric power supply.
The presentation will take place at Room 316 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Penn., on Tuesday, May 7 at 11:30 a.m.
There are very few organizations that are not concerned with following reliability best practices. It is more efficient and less expensive to prevent a breakdown than it is to fix something that breaks.
Monitoring and data management are becoming ubiquitous in the industrial world, the utility world, and across most industries and sectors as we work toward a more reliable and interconnected future.
Chip Angus will explain how electric power systems have not been included in this shift away from break/fix and toward data-centric reliability, and what the future holds for organizations seeking best practices.
